Hope everyone going through this process is doing well. I'm still pretty brand new to this entire thing and really trying to learn some of the terms so, I was wondering if someone could help me out with understanding the short forms such as AOR or PPR lol.

Welcome! AOR stands for (acknowledgment of Receipt) this is the first correspondence you will receive from IRCC. Usually via email. And the second one is the Golden notice!! PPR Passport request usually once your application is complete and IRCC is ready to issue the permanent residence Visa into your passport!!
CIC is never good at notifications. If you have a lawyer, its the easiest way to know. All they're saying that after November 1st, they'll no longer be accepting applications. I am quite sure that they'll announced it on their CIC website. Although i was notified by my lawyer, you can visit www.csc.cvac.com. Where it said click here for more details? Do so and you will get the full story.
I am applying from outland; St. Vincent and the Grenadines to be exact. This is actually my first contribution. My Application was received on May 7th. My file started processing on August 8th. I had a conversation with my lawyer this morning who informed me that the POS visa Office will be closing permanently on November 2nd, 2018 but he is not sure where and if its going to another Caribbean Isalnd. I initially called him after finding out for myself that my file is in Mexico. I emailed POS and got a reply back from Mexico who did confirm that my file is indeed in Mexico. I was told to be patient and my file is in queue. Good luck to us all!
After reading through the past messages, I am hoping that there might be some information out there that will help my through this process. I submitted my sponsorship application on July 24th,2018 and it was received by the office on July 26th,2018. Since then, I have not heard any information from the office. I've tried looking up the receipt number but no luck. I have also heard that the VAC in Trinidad will not be accepting any documents from November 1st, 2018 which has me wondering where my application is.
If there is anyone out there with any information that can soothe my worries. Thank you & Good Luck!

Hey no updates but my husband emailed the office to ask about his application and whether or not the visa office will be closing but they responded to our representative and our representative told us we should ask him questions instead of emailing the office and also when we email them it causes delays.
I'm still waiting to hear back from CIC regarding processing altogether but from what I have seen online regarding VAC in Trinidad, the website pretty much says they will be changing their services.
