Hi Guys

I've looked online and couldn't find the answer.

how long it the police check valid for please?

Also the checklist states "it must be an original" so printed copies are no good.

And it also states "refer to appendix A"

what is appendix A?

If you are no longer in that country, then it doesn't expire. Otherwise it's good for 6 months.

thankyou.

can i submitted the police clearance AFTER my application please?

yes, it's possible to submit the police clearance after submitting the application. CIC will process the sponsor's application, forward the applicant's application to the visa office and the visa office will request the report during processing. Keep in mind, not submitting the clearance upfront risks delaying PR approval, since an application can not be approved until the clearance is submitted.

/agree. I highly suggest submitting it with the application, unless you are sure for some reason the application will take a very long time.

i am wanting to go back to Canada to see my wife soon, and as I'm doing an outland application i believe the application needs to be submitted whilst im OS.

so i was thinking my wife can send in all the other paperwork and as soon as the police clearance arrives (anticipat 3 to 4 weeks) then we can send that in as well.

just to clarify, my plan is to go to Canada as soon as the papers are submitted (with the exception of the police clearance).

hence i would forward the police check 2 - 3 weeks after the other papers.

Does that sound ok?

You can be anywhere in the world, including Canada, when the app is submitted.
