Police Certificate Validity

Hi, I was curious on the validity of a Police Certificate. How long are they good for? I can not find any info on any of the forms for outland spouse sponsor applications. I got one from the US about a year ago, but I haven't been into the US in about 2.5 years. Is it still valid until I re-enter?

Used to be considered valid for 6 months, but now I think 3 months. No chance with anything older than that.

You are sure? I have seen people send in applications that have been accepted with PCC's older then a year, but they had not been back into that country.

Are you sure it is expired, if I have not re-entered the US since?

There is nowhere to be read on the website or in the form for this, if you could find it anywhere it would be useful.

The only thing I can find is from the Express Entry, which I know is different.

"For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant stayed in that country for 6 months or more in a row"

No clue now, I am just confused, is it valid since I haven't been back to the US since before i got the police cert?

Since there is no telling, if I submit the one I have now, is it likely to be rejected or returned, or them request new ones?

Ah I see, thank you. They should really clarify that, it has absolutely no info anywhere under the forms that I can find.

Hi, I have the similar situation. Could you please share what happened later? Did you use the previous police certificate issued one year ago? Did it work?

How about applying for TWP at POE? How long is a police certificate good for from a country that I don't live in anymore?
