Just got email from CIC asking my husband to submit his criminal check in Canada (I am primary applicant), and it also said
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED THIS DOCUMENT, PLEASE DISREGARD THIS REQUEST. WE WILL CONTACT YOU WITH FURTHER INSTRUCTION ONCE A VISA OFFICER HAS REVIEWED YOUR APPLICATION.

Both my husband and I submitted our application with criminal check, should I just ignore the email or call CIC? Any advices? Thanks

June 15: Application received by CIO
August 25: AOR, application is in process
August 31: PCC is requested

I agree, but I am afraid CIC lost our PCC and that's why they request it. If I don't send them another copy, I am afraid they will return my application package. No ideas

It will be abnormal when cic issues visa without asking for needed PCCs. So it all depends on case officer. They stopped MR for the last many weeks for some reason. So its possible that they want to verify other documents before issuing MR (Medical request does not require any additional verification but may come in some particular time period or after some time of EP issuance).

There is no guide or process on order of documents to be verified by cic. So I dont see this as an issue.

As long as you have sent it in trackable post then you are good. Tell them that you already sent it by attaching just proof of delivery. Many got more than one reminder for many Oct/Nov/Dec applicants wherein the documents were sent during the first reminder and they just ignored the second reminder because they already sent it. So i dont see anything to worry on cic asking for documents which we are supposed to provide.

Good catch. Initially i thought it was Oct applicant but it was resent in May. Dont know if this application was considered as Oct one and made DM . Either way this applicant should be happy to not wasted his/her time. Thats great.

This is the reason why i think the MR is the key to get more progress on the application or even to trigger rest of the verifications.
CIC should publish the order of verifications so that we can send in our documents before they request.

Thanks for your opinion, it is helpful . However, I can only track my application package was received by officer, I have nothing to Prove PCC is in the package.

Thats enough. For any applicant whoever sent it previous cant or did not need to prove either but they all got PR.
