Inlanders,
When i called the call center, they told that my file is still in Sydney. Anyone called to check?

I tried but the girl I talked to - did not tell me anything about my file.

Below notes from some thread i saved:
1-888-242-2100 doesn't work if you are in US. At least it didn't work for me. Try 1-613-944-4000 and then a series of 1111131 (when asked to press a digit). This should take you to CIC representatives.
If you have GMAIL (no matter where you are) you can make free phone calls from google voice to the US and Canada.

So you can call the US number as the Canadian number is not accessible outside Canada.

I will call from Spain, will it work from here??

For ottawa and Sydney office applicants, its just going to be writing on this forum during every stage of waiting. Nothing can be done other than waiting. Trying to see how we can be patient during the whole process which is lengthy only for visa offices like ottawa and sydney. We cant expect weekly or even monthly updates.
They stopped MRs and "now what" is the only question.
I know you're right... doesn't mean I'm happy about it :P

Just got email from CIC asking my husband to submit his criminal check in Canada (I am primary applicant), and it also said
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED THIS DOCUMENT, PLEASE DISREGARD THIS REQUEST. WE WILL CONTACT YOU WITH FURTHER INSTRUCTION ONCE A VISA OFFICER HAS REVIEWED YOUR APPLICATION.

Both my husband and I submitted our application with criminal check, should I just ignore the email or call CIC? Any advices? Thanks :(
