Standard response that didn't address my questions...just told my my application was in process.
From what I can see from other threads IRCC aren't doing well in their web form responses.
I have ordered GCMS notes hopefully I will get them back in a couple of weeks.

Same here, generic response to all questions asked specifically related to security and eligibility. "Your application is in process."

• The background verifications are currently in process.
• The security background verifications are not in process yet.

Few of them in my group have got requests to re-do medicals whose medicals are supposed to expire by January 2021. AOR is Feb 10 and VO is Ottawa. Not sure why they have requested like this. The person has raised a web form to understand the reason for this.

Do date of additionals need to be issued after they've been asked? This is for a country that I have not been into since 2013.

Very strange of them to ask for re-medicals when there is no sight of PPRs to outlanders on the horizon.

The wait is getting excruciating now. Another month before one can think of some positive news again

I think you can submit the latest one which was taken a month ago. I'm not an expert though, its just my opinion.

It is stated on canada.gc.ca that the police certificate must be issued after the last time you stayed there for a period 6 months or more in a row.

In the case that this police certificate has an expiry date, They will accept it, provided that the following points apply:

• It is not from a country that you currently live in
• It was issued after the last time you stayed there for a period 6 months or more in a row

Thank you. Yeah, the points you mentioned apply to my situation. I was just thinking the fact that if an officer asks for an additional, they are kind of expecting you to act upon it after they have asked but I guess I'm just overthinking things.

There is a facebook group for Quebec immigration where 3 people got PPR sometime back. One among them got an email from IRCC saying that PPR was sent by mistake. Just when we thought everything will be settled soon ... we have stumbled upon a new block. It was sent in French and here is the English translation.

"Dear Sir / Madam, Please note that correspondence dated September 3, 2020 informing you that we are ready to issue your immigrant visa has been sent to you in error. Indeed, in these times of crisis, the order in council prohibits us from finalizing any economic file for the moment. We kindly ask you to ignore this letter. We sincerely apologize for this error. We will notify you when the situation changes and when we are ready to issue your visa allowing you to enter Canada."
