This seems never ending! Why don't they just make an exception for people with PPR and ask for them to provide a Negative PCR test to be admitted into the country plus quarantine for 14 days. I'm sure everyone is willing to do that. Covid is not going away for a while until there's an actual vaccine. Are they going to keep extending for the next year? Makes no sense. Some people have everything on hold or have quit their jobs or are running out of cash to spend and will have to start spending from the Canada funds they have. It's not right and there's a simple way to deal with this.

Rightly said, we are all chasing our dreams for years and have invested a lot during the course of it. Why don't they ask for a covid test for all those who has their file approved thereby enabling them to enter Canada? The backlogs are piling as every month goes by and I'm afraid the count will be huge when the borders are ready to open and can't imagine how all of them will end up in a decent job. Until and unless they come up with a plan to accommodate immigrant people from other countries (apart from US), the above scenario is highly likely to happen.

Exactly! That's something else I keep thinking about is finding a job especially that right now there seems to be a surge in jobs that we could have benefited from had we been there. For me my field is ecommerce and right now because of the demand for online shopping and people at home there are so many jobs I could have applied to had I been there. It's crazy the amount of jobs I see everyday on LinkedIn. I'm just worried that by the time I get there most jobs if not all will be already filled and there will be a big surge of new people in the country that finding any kind of other job or survival job will prove to be difficult. I really hope they work on making exceptions for people getting PPR or people who already have it instead of just keep extending for what seems to be forever!

You can raise web form to know your status. Ghost updates usually is a good sign and is indicative of some movement in your file. Have you received any GU's apart from the one we get when the medicals were passed?

From what you have said, I presume your eligibility must have been cleared if not security. Try calling them or raise a web form to know about the GU on Aug 20.
Standard response that didn't address my questions...just told my my application was in process.
From what I can see from other threads IRCC aren't doing well in their web form responses.
I have ordered GCMS notes hopefully I will get them back in a couple of weeks.
