just got an email from cpc ottawa as a revert of my follow up email for my status of my file , they said your file is in our office and is being assessed by one of our officers if any add doc needed you will be contacted accordingly lol idk i should be happy or they just lied cuz my ECAS still showing application received .

Please check ECAS tomorrow or so. It might be updated nightly.

Man, your status will change to IP once they start reviewing your app, and check you have all the documents, I'm dec 9 applicant and my status is still the same (application received) and it is because they requested more documents, that's why my application is not in process yet, because it's not complete.

In my case, I received an email for further documents on July 7th and my status was changed to IP the next day stating IP since July 4th.

Applications sitting in Sydney as "received" until they transferred to Ottawa for processing. The reason for long time is unknown, but application is definitely considered in process when it is transferred to Ottawa.

Arjun, my file also transferred to Ottawa in June, I got RCMP request from CIO Sydney on May 16th and I sent my documents to Sydney on May 30th and they received on June 02 (as per Canada post tracking). And I sent email to Ottawa regarding confirmation in around end of June and I got reply from Ottawa on July 11th.. almost 40 days over but still they haven't transferred my RCMP reports to Ottawa yet.

Hey adi7 what exactly did you write in email to cic and on what email address did you email them? I was wandering will that be any negative impact like delay on file something like that if we email them

How should we consider our timeline for the file to be in process, from the day application received or from the day medical received. It means we can count the number of months or days from the day application received correct me if i am wrong. Because i came to know that it takes 6-7 months to get in process but not sure from when to count 6-7 months, the day app received or day medical received.
