PLS HELP: RECEIVED ONLY 1 YEAR PGWP INSTEAD OF 3 YEARS

Hi all,
I am an international student from India came in Jan 2016. I took 2 courses of 2 semesters each to get 3 years work permit and also applied for the work permit including the graduation letters for both the degrees. But now I received only 1 year work permit in place of 3 years work permit. So what is the procedure to get 3 years work permit... Please advise me on this....

i think u receive a work permit for 3 years if u studied canada for at least 2 years (your program duration not the time you took).

Did you do these 2 courses back to back. If that so you should get 3 year pgwp as 4 semester is regarded as equivalent to two years if they were full credit courses. According to new rule if there's a gap between two courses you will get pgwp for the latest course duration only.

can you tell me how much gap is allowed between two course ? as my first course ends in 19 apr 2019 and second course starts sept 2019 first week probably.

will that be okay ?

Yes - you should be fine. Make sure you don't work at all (not even part time) between your two programs.

also will i get three years work permit? curent course is grad cert and i am thinking to do next one also a grad cert.will that be okay?
