Please advise - Arranged marriage | Sponsor Spouse | Apply or Wait?

I am thinking to consult a lawyer as well and apply for a visitor visa before I submit my file for an outland PR. If we will be lucky enough to get a visitor visa we are planning to wait for our traditional wedding. Once that is done, she can come over here with me on visitor status and we can apply as an inland applicant.

What do you guys think?

@vinitmenon this got me confused a bit. So, you applied for PR after you ritual marriage? Because, only then I suppose you can have photos, air tickets, bills from honeymoon

I was asked for additional documents to prove my relation and thats when I submitted all that. Ritual marriage was in jan end and document request was april 2nd.

It return filing has ended i am not sure how u can add her name. During filing i had showed i am married and put my wife’s name in as a spouse with sin 000-000-000 since she is in india.

For name change in passport it took us a month as there were some complications with her mum’s first name. Passport change was done in nov-dec. I got her name added to my passport too as soon as i came back to canada in sept.
