Just to add some info:
In 2018, there were around 95,000+ Express of Interest submission
This year, even thought the income requirement for 2020 is kept minimum, do you guys think more people, like you said, 150,000 people would apply? I know a few friends of mine lost the job, went on CERB and were struggling for real this March til now. And more than half a year has gone, just 2.5 month left, do you guys think lots of people are going to get job back at regular pay to meet the LICO?
Just wondering...
I have a question regarding the PGP 2020 application. I am trying to see if I am eligible to submit an intent to sponsor my parents this year.
I was a student in 2018 and don’t have any income in that year (the rest of the income does meet the requirement for 2019 and 2020). But I am getting married in the end of Nov (after the intent submission period is over, but before the application, if my application gets picked) and my fiancé had income in 2018 (which is good enough to meet the required number for 2018). Wondering if she can co-sponsor my application this year or I have to wait till next year.
The best way to find out is to contact (call) IRCC and speak to one of the rep to find out
But if you want some back ground, here it is:
The number of your family member has been since based on the actual situation, e.g. you are single, unmarried in 2018, your family is just 1 (yourself) hence your income is just from yourself
You will get married in 2020, so the year in which your spouse income would be eligible to count toward "total household income" in your case would be 2020 onward.
But again, only the IRCC agent would be able to give you some good answer.
Good luck
I totally agree with you on this CERB and EI things... However, speaking of which, there isn't any pandemic like COVID-19 in the whole world's modern history. There isn't any playbook for this global disaster either so, perhaps it "might" be considered as regular income for this very year... who know...
A question:
I want to know if in addition to 10,000 selected among the all received interest forms more additional selection being done as the reserve for unqualified selected forms?
In fact, if the selection would be limited to 10,000, there might be some unqualified forms (low income,....) among selected ones hence the total qualified selected will be less than 10,000.

Here are my questions:
1. Who is the principal applicant? Is this either of my parents? (PDF page-2, section-4, proof of principle applicant relationship with the sponsor)
2. Who is the dependent? is this either of my parents? (PDF page-2, section-5, copy of travel document or passport for the principal applicant and each accompanying dependent)

One year there was an additional / second lottery to give out spots from disqualified winners.
Other years there was no second lottery / intake.
In my opinion there will be no second lottery this year since the 2020 lottery is happening so late in the year. They will just move on to the 2021 lottery.
