Passports to CPC Ottawa-August 2017

Has anyone of you renewed your passports post PPR email.
I have asked CIC for passport submission deadline extension, which they have given already as my passport is under renewal. Just wanted to check if it is mandatory to update CIC about the new passport before sending it to Canada embassy for visa stamping.

If any of you had similar experience, it will help.

Hello Folks,

I just sent my documents along with passport for PR visa stamping to CPC Ottawa I later realized the dimensions for the envelope was incorrect not a huge difference but its definitely not 32x24 cm as specified in the instructions, does that matter? If so what should I do please advise.

Haven't heard on this forum about envelope size causing issues yet. I didn't measure the envelope I used, I am guessing they could just fold the sheets in the middle and stuff it in, it would hold atleast a A4 size folded in the middle. I don't think you should be worried much.

if you are in Canada, London Drugs is a good place to take passport photos. they can stamp as well.

I don't have my Canada Post tracking number for the prepaid envelope. My Canada post receipt does have a 12 digit number beginning with R:. What does that number mean? Any idea?

almost the same timeline for me.

Last Friday, I called the helpline.The agent told me my passport was in the printing room. but he was not sure how long it will take. and he cannot expediate the processing.
I kinda need the passport urgently.

I am planning to do my exit/entry this week. i am residing in canada but my application to restore my status as visitor is still in process and I dont have a legal status in canada yet. will that be an issue or I can show the officer my application for restoration of status??

Also my spouse is in pakistan can i do the landing before she gets her passport back?
