Passports to CPC Ottawa-August 2017

My passport (copy) is on the way back to me! Hopefully I can get it Friday or Saturday, then all there is left to do is land.

It looks like people who send passport copies (from visa exempt countries) have a roughly 2 week wait and people who send passports have roughly a 4 weeks wait these days.

I am just checking your approved timeline. Did you send passports from US? My passport delivery date was on August 8th, and I haven't had any movement in the account.

Nope, I have sent it from canada. Did you call CIC? Fyi, Approved status is still not reflecting in my online account however, agent confirmed that my app is approved and he could see in his backend.

I emailed them. They were able to confirm that passports have been received and asked me to check my mail tracking to get dispatch updates.

Anyways 4 week is wait time for folks who sent from US, so not expecting anything until next week or so.

I don't have my Canada Post tracking number for the prepaid envelope. My Canada post receipt does have a 12 digit number beginning with R:. What does that number mean? Any idea?

That's not your tracking number. You should have been given the tracking number on the prepaid envelope. I am not sure there's anyway around it than for you to wait.

My PP was delivered on 4th of Aug, no updates so far. I did call and was told that PP was sent to the printing room on Aug 14th. I'm expecting something by next week.

Anyone who send their passport recently to Ottawa..are u able to track it on Canadapost tracking.
I mailed my passports 25th Aug and I was able to track it till last night but this morning- it is giving message " the number u entered is not in our tracking system"
@smlrch can you check your passport tracking and let me know if problem with their system or something wrong with my package as you also mailed on same day!

That's weird. Hope you are entering the prepaid envelope number and not the "unaddressed" prepaid envelope? tracking number.

I was entering the correct tracking number ...also i was able it track it earlier. Spoke to Canada post it was a technical error and got corrected after few hours
