How long did it take them to reply to you?

Less than an half an hour, but before they took more than a week

so you sent them the same email a few times? I sent one yesterday and I think they ignored it. don't want to piss them off, but I am really desperate right now.

just received following reply from cic

"Dear Sir/Madam,
Your passport has been received at our office and will be returned to you shortly.
Your documents will be been returned using the provided Xpresspost envelope. If you have followed the instructions on the website and kept note of the tracking number, you should be able to follow its delivery on the Canada Post website.
We thank you for your patience. In order to efficiently process requests, we will not reply to duplicate emails."


I asked them about confirming whether my passports has been received or not.

What should i make of this reply...really want this to finish asap

(Inland application and original passport sent (only hers as I am from a Visa exempt country).

Hopefully it'll be here before the year ends .

I don't know as we went through an agency.

I sure do hope we have considering the time frame.

Not necessarily - and even if it hasn't, there is nothing to worry about.
It usually changes right before the passport is sent out. You can ask your representatives to check the status. Mine is still "Open", despite the fact that the agent confirmed that the application has been approved on the phone. So I assume it is more of an indicator of how fast you'll receive your passport back.

Hi,

I applied for express entry when I was in Canada, and now I am out of canada… today i recieved mail from cic asking me to courier my passport and other documents to ottawa.. as my address in immigration is still canada's address….what exactly shold i write in response to cic.. how do i update my present address.. ?
Please suggest..

I have sent the package (passports, photos, a copy of 'request for visa' email and self-addressed xpressport envelopes) to Ottawa yesterday Dec 27th. The teller at Canada Post she gave me both slips to track. I forgot to buy the signature required sticker on the self-addressed. Is that okay?

I did the same and got 2 slips with tracking numbers and 1 payment receipt. So it is okay...Canada post told me that they will be sending it tomorrow(Tue) only..

same. They will send it tomorrow and hopefully reach Ottawa on Wednesday.

Hi

I submitted my Passports to VFS in India on 24th Dec but still there is no updation. Can you guys advice me that how much time it generally takes to get the passports back with Visa ?

Also one more thing My status is still showing BG in process and final decision not started. Does it mean still there are chances of some unlucky/unexpected news from CIC ?

Guys i am in a dilemma here. i got the request for Passports.
and i am hoping to send them tomorrow. My wife is not in canada so i have email Ottawa to change the visa office for her.
However, i will be sending my documents to ottawa.

- I want to know if i have to add only my photos (2 of them) or my wife's too with my documents?

- On the back side of one photo we just have to right the date, name and the address of the photography studio. i donot have to write my name of DOB?
