passport request for british citizens

Hey guys,
I am a british citizen who is in the process of sponsorship outland here in the uk by my canadian girlfriend. Just a question regarding passport request once your application is at the latter stages in london. Do they request your passport if you are a british citizen, or will you just receive a letter from cic in the post instead? Tried to find a definitive answer on these forums but had no joy. I do believe I am 'visa exempt' and do not need to send my passport, but confirmation of this would be a great help and much appreciated!!

You will receive CORP by a regular mail. They`ll need a copy of your passport.

So the passport copy I sent with my application to start with would suffice? No need to send anything?

Yes, many other visa offices request another copy of your passport at the end of processing, but London does not. Your COPR will just arrive in the post when you are approved.
