@Shankar Iyer -- thank you for the response earlier, I have been following pgp 2023 thread as well so i got very helpful insights from your posts there too so thank you. I have one doubt please: for the form IMM5669 (Schedule A (Background/Declaration), do i need to fill details of my mother only OR for my mother and my sibling (sister) as well. I am trying to sponsor my mother only (father passed away back in 2010, my only sister is married and is over 18 years old and is not dependent on my mom, my sister is married and lives separately with her husband and has her own job and house etc.). I believe i only need to fill this form for my mother but i wanted to double check please.
you can only skip your siblings if they are PR or canadian citizens. If not, you moms siblings and other children needs to be on the form. The 5771 check-list mention only dependants but then the guidelines section for additional family information ( IMM 5406) section B mentions to include married children of applicant
I’m hoping the government plans on doing a batch in October and then another next May before federal elections to capture everyone that’s left in the pool.

Hi @Paul941 , I read from multiple posts in this thread about a possible draw in October and early next year. Have they indicated this anywhere about October draw? Or just speculation as of now? Also are they saying that they want to eventually give the opportunity to everyone on the queue? I am so much hoping that if they really come up with an October draw then all remaining folks will get another chance.

If you look at the immigration levels, they have invited 33k people for 2024 year - that means the target for 2024 year. May be they will open early next year. Prior to 2020, this draw always took place in January, then COVID hit and it was moved to October and now they moved it to May.

The 2024 target is not how many people received the invite this year. What the target represents seems to be consistently misunderstood. The target is the number of people in each category approved for PR that year.
Regardless, when the next draw will be is still pure speculation. IRCC has made no announcement.
They will do another round in this year only if they don't meet the target in this round (20,500 out of 35,700 ITAs sent out in May 2024).
It really depends on the number of applicants who are no longer eligible or just don't complete the application.
Chances for an another draw this year seems very low based on these numbers.

No need to include adult/married siblings in IMM5669.
instruction for IMM 5406 is different. All additional families need to be listed. (married or not/PR or Canadian or non PR, all children, siblings, parents of PR etc)
But why is this round complete, they will do the draw for 02 weeks starting May 21st so shouldnt it be until tomorrow or foes anyone have confirmation here that the draw is done for sure

We don't know if they are finished or not. It will depend on whether they have already issued the target number of invitations. It's possible they may have finish early or possible invitations are still being sent.
