In previous years I can remember there was a tool to adhoc check if you got selected or not. Any word if that will be avaiable on Oct 10 itself or later? The suspense is killing me (and probably many of us)!

This information is on the IRCC site. I believe it says that the tool will be available after all of the invitations have been sent.

For 2023 invite which year income documents will be requested ?
From IRCC - If you’re invited to apply, you have to provide proof that you meet the income requirements for each of the 3 tax years before the date you apply. So it would be 2020, 2021 and 2022.

I find it's strange ! the invitation draw will happen next week but so far the CIC hasn't announced the income requirement for year 2022. They reduced the income requirements for 2021 and 2020 due to Covid. But with the inflation ongoing, I'm curious to know how high the income requirement for year 2022 will be.

What if someone meets 2020, 2021, and 2022. But they lose their job before they submit the application so then current income falls to 0?

The sponsor needs to continue to meet income requirement until the application has been approved. That's why many people ask their spouse to be cosigner just in case one person lost he/her job, the spouse can still help to meet the income requirement.

This is an older guide from 2022 spnsorship. I don't think the 2023 one will change a lot regarding to meeting income requirement.

Do I (the sponsor) have to continue to meet the income requirements during the processing of the application?
If new information indicates that you may no longer meet the income requirements, your income may be reassessed at any time during processing. Your income could also be reassessed if more than 12 months have passed between the dates since we received your application and when processing of the application begins.

You and your co-signer, if applicable, must meet the amounts outlined in the Income for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship from the date on which IRCC receives your sponsorship application until the day your family members become permanent residents of Canada.

Thank you for clarifying. Appreciate it.

Could we express our interest to sponsor now? So that it does get picked up some years later ?

At what point in the process once someone has been selected is a "final" decision made so to speak for the PGP program? And is request for passport the last step in the process?

Btw noticed this website - and the batch of 2022 is pretty much getting their PR sorted in a year. Is that about accurate?

Issuance of the COPR/eCOPR would be the last step.

Health insurance was provided. They wouldn’t approve my mom if they were going to reject my dad afterwards. They know it’s a couple visiting their son together. That’s why it’s so absurd and strange that my dads is still pending.

Approval for a supervisa is individual. It is possible for only one spouse to get approved. IRCC doesn’t factor in a couple’s desire to travel together
