@Naturgrl @scylla I was reading this post in FB group the other day. A guy who didn't qualify based on LICO and taxation years applied in 2020 even though he didn't qualify. By 2022, he was meeting LICO and taxation years requirements. He got picked up in 2022. Will his application be rejected based on 2020 requirements? Because he didn't qualify then and still submitted interest to be in the pool. And if he cannot be disqualified, isn't it unfair?

Same with my mom...I am really worried. I hope this time we will receive the golden email.
Hope so. Fingers crossed.

The government should enforce a mandatory requirement for individuals to possess a tax number before expressing interest . There have been instances of market agents advertising services such as re-filing tax returns for those with insufficient income, leading to cases where individuals only filed their taxes after receiving invitation.
I know couple of people did this. I really feel cheated by the system in this situation.
Hope so. Fingers crossed.

He has to meet LICO for all three years, even 2020. The issue Is that many people submit a profile even when they don’t meet LICO, and hope they are picked and will not be rejected. Then they are. That is why IRCC selects 25k and only about 15k will qualify.
In the future, maybe IRCC should have people show proof of LICO and CRA filings to even submit a profile.

I agree. Checks should have been implemented. But back to this - So he will be OK even though he didn't meet the requirement for 2020 pool? I mean he must have been short for 2018, 2019 years LICO.

He must meet LICO for 2020, 2021 and 2022 so if selected and you meet the requirements then you are eligible. IRCC doesn’t ask for LICO for any years prior.
That why we have over 200,000 interest application in 2020. if IRCC open new interest, may they will receive over 1,000,000. doesn't matter they have LICO qualified, may be some people submitted interest even they are not PR or citizen.
Hello,
Under which section on the online application portal should I upload my parent's passport scanned copy?, as per the Guide 5772 it says that I (sponsor) should upload scan copy of my passport under the "Supporting Document" (which I believe is the section "Supporting Documents for your immigration program" on the portal) and the passport copy of each of the member sponsored (which would be my parents) should be uploaded under "Additional Supporting Documents" section.
When I see the list of options available under the section Additional Supporting Documents, I don't see any option for passport in there. Can someone pls correct me if my understanding about it is wrong? or am I misunderstanding the instructions?
Thank you
I feel the invites should still go out, i only saw one invite with first two alphabet.... If it is really based on this, more invites should go out. Fingers crossed
None of the policies are fair. We only accept or reject them. I met LICO requirement for 10 years, but I am still waiting for an invitation.

Yes, qualified and waiting patiently for past 7 years even before lottery system. I hope and sincerely pray this time I get an invitation to sponsor my mom.

So unfair system.
