Hi guys I have started applying through portal. Under dependent section I guess I need to put my mother name (I am sponsor , primary applicant is my father). Dependent will be my mother. Do I need to add any of my brother or sister. All my brother and sister are settled in Canada as a citizen and they are not dependent on father. In this scenario I guess only dependent will be my mother, primary applicant spouse. Right?
Correct, dependant children is until age 22, which I am assuming is already over for your siblings - only your parents (father as primary applicant and mother as dependant) all the best

Starting this thread to discuss 2023 PGP application

As per CIC website
"For the 2023 intake, we’ll invite potential sponsors from the remaining pool of interest to sponsor forms submitted in 2020. Between October 10 and 23, 2023, we’ll send 24,200 invitations to apply to potential sponsors. Our goal is to accept up to 15,000 complete applications. "

Good luck to all of who eagerly waiting reunion with their parents in Canada.
Hello, I have a quick question, How can someone get in the queue for intention to apply in 2023? Or is that still not open as they have enough applications from 2020? Any idea when does that open up?

Unfortunately you can't. It's not open and they are stil selecting from the 2020 expressions of interest. We do not know when it will open again. It won't be this year.

Hi my mother date of birth is 12 July 1960 and her aadhaar card and Pan card is aligned with her date of birth. We also have notarized birth certificate with 12 July date. However we just noticed in passport her DOB is mentioned incorrectly as 4 April 1960. Will it create any problem? Can I just put explanation letter with notarized birth certificate stating DOB in the passport is incorrect?
I doubt an explanation letter would suffice in this case. I would get in touch with a lawyer or a competent agent. They may be able to help.

Get a new passport with the right date.

Hi there,
I'm confused about something when filling out IMM5406 on behalf of my mom (I'm the sponsor and she's the principal applicant). On the additional family information section we have to add to info "of any of your family members 18 years of age or older who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents". Does this mean that my information should not be included there and only my 26 years old sister whom is not a dependent should be added? (I'm a child of older than 18 but a Canadian Citizen)
Thanks so much for your help in advance.

I am not sure what address to enter in IMM 5669 for address history. My in-laws stayed with us for nearly a year as a visitor during COVID, but they had a address back in their home country. In the address history form, should I add my address for that one year period or their address from India. We are including the information that they stayed with us in both personal history and travel section, so just want to make sure that everything is aligned, I am writing a letter of explanation, but just want to know which address I should mentioned for IMM 5669.

On more thing that I am worries is, If they ask for Police verification from canada, since they lived here for more than a year, what should I do. They cannot travel here from their home country just for the police verification.

I have decided to update PAN card and Aadhaar card with the DOB mentioned on passport. After doing some more digging even all school certificate have same DOB as of passport. My only concern is while submitting interest to sponsor form in 2020 I might have used incorrect DOB. Will it create any problem? I am thinking to get the affidavit from advocate stating that DOB submitted in interest to sponsor form is incorrect and correct date of birth is 4-4-1960 which is aligned with passport and all other national identity documents and will submit that affidavit as supporting document

what do you guys think?

Does interest to sponsor form in 2020 have DOB section for the parents? I don’t remember since it’s been 3 years now. I know I submitted name of parents, age and my details. Does it have DOB section?

Last year I completed visitor visa application for my mom dad. Biometric was done at that time. Now do I need to pay biometric fees again for PGP2023?

Hello,

I received the magic e-mail invitation for my parent PR application.
I have two questions.
1) my parents does not have marriage certificate but they do have marriage affidavit that done in 2016 when they came here on visitor visa.
would affidavit work instead of marriage certificate ? If yes then is that affidavit still valid?

2) Do they need birth certificate ? I know check list says only sponsors birth certificate requires. But in application guide it mentions that they require primary and spouse birth certificate as well?
If it is required than what options do I have as they don’t have birth certificate and they did not study until 10 either

they voter id and addhar card.

thank you in advance..

7 years waiting, Still not get the invitation.
Only one good thing, my parents use supervisa status to stay with me right now, since last year IRCC allow they can stay up to 5 years. Atleast I no need seperate with my parents.

It isn’t guaranteed. We have seen some applications drag on for years and your parents also have to pass the medical. Always best to not count on anything with IRCC until you have final approval.
