Hi everyone, pls can somebody help me with the link to track my application status. I am sponsoring my mom, application submitted December 2023, just got the pre arrival letter after medical and pcc request .Pls I need to track the application status. Gckey not showing much. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your reply. My application does not show online somehow. When I enter the details, it always shows that they cant find application. Last communication from them was about police clearance.

When was the request for police clearance? I am trying to guage how long it took for your application from police clearance to passport request.

Actually they asked me for PCC and Medicals all together. We submitted everything already and now it's been almost close to two months. Any thoughts?
It shows that medicals is passed.

that's interesting. Well, good thing is you're all done with you needed to do. I guess now the hard part which is "waiting". I hope there are positive updates right after the new year holidays.

Can anyone advise how i can check the status of my parents application. I keep going in circles trying to log in to get status updates.
For reference, here's my timeline - got invitation to apply for my parents in oct 2023, submitted the application in Dec 2023. Received a document request in April 2024 then received Medical and PCC request almost simultaneously in early Dec 2024. In all of this I have been navigating blind. Have tried multiple times to log in to check the status of application to no avail. Would appreciate any help

I have never been able to check the status but I was able to link the application to GCKey. Have you tried that?

How long did it take for you to get teh pre-arrival letter after medical and PCC request?

As for linking the application, please use:

• the Principal Applicant's family name
• the Principal Applicant's passport details (as submitted in the application)
• Count the sponsor when filling in the family count (basically, the number should be the same as you submitted in the application)

Hello All.

I need everyone's Expert advise on my Parents file.

Invitation to apply : OCT 2023

File submitted: Dec 2023

AOR: Aug 01 2024

Biometrics request: Aug 06 2024

Insufficient Income letter : Aug 10 2024
Case forwarded by Visa Officer to RROC Ottawa

Reason for income revision letter from CPA and confirmation of Income eligibility Affidavit showing surplus income than required submitted : Aug 16 2024

No response or movement in file since August 16 2024.

I got my 2022 income reassessed in April 25 2023 and got the Notice of reassessment on May 05/2023.

Reason for income reassessment : My CPA accidentally miscalculated dividends and submitted wrong income for taxes on April 15 2023. When he realized the error we resubmitted correct income 77200 on April 25/2023. Notice of reassessment(77200) was issued on May 05 2023 way before the October 2023 draw.

I submitted both Notice of assessment (63300)and Notice of reassessment (77200) when submitting the file in Dec 2023.

Can anyone please suggest me anyway could get the file in movement.?

Really tough to say how this will be addressed. It is pretty clear that you suddenly reassessed your personal income, likely as someone who is self-employed, because you got selected for PGP. IRCC isn’t stupid. A CPA should not have made this basic error. This is why people should be meeting LICO every year if they plan on applying for PGP but especially if in the PGP pool. This is especially important for people who are self-employed.

The PDF file says:
"You must travel to Canada and present your immigration documents at a Canadian Port of
Entry before they expire. The validity of the Permanent Resident documents cannot be
extended."

Now my question is: She doesn't speak English. Does this finalization process for her PR need to happen right when she first enters Canada? The reason I am asking is: Her flight is to Toronto and I live in Vancouver. What should she (and I) do?

Are you sure her COPR is still valid? Very unusual for it to be valid for 1.5+ years? Yes landing would be in Toronto. You couldn’t accompany her either way.

I'm reading that they have translators in Toronto Airport. How can she articulate that she needs a translator? (I know this might be a stupid question: she is just a bit nervous about this whole process)

Many new immigrates do not speak English. CBSA and IRCC will have translation services. (either via a translator being there or a voice service)
Unless she speaks a very rare language, she should be OK.

Hi, I will very appreciate if one you senior members could please provide some insight on my situation. All assessments were completed and passed in July. The GCKey account had an update saying "Final Decision - 2024/07/31". Most people get the portal email on the same day, some with in few weeks of this update. For me it has been over 5 months. I called the Call Centre few times and I was told it is awaiting final decision. I have requested GCMS notes couple weeks ago, but have not received them yet. How come it is taking so long for the final approval if all assessments were passed in July? Is it normal, I have not seen any PGP applicant wait that long after the final decision update? Thanks!
