Hi All, I received request from IRCC to submit police clearance for Australia and India for my mother-in-law. She also visited Canada a couple of times and she is here in Canada currently. I went to RCMP to get her Canadian Police Clearance done, but officer said they cannot do it yet, until letter clearly says do Canada police check. Could you please advise what I could do in this case.

if IRCC didn't specifically asked for PCC from CANADA, you don't need to get it done. Normally IRCC can access the records directly from RCMP

2 weeks before we submitted PCC and waiting for next step.

Unfortunately I am unable to see online status and also cant link application to online account.

However when I called IRCC automated system then it said application is in under review and need additional document for which we will send the communication.

I am just wondering what could be that document? Has anyone experienced same situation?

Finally I am able to link an application.

however under background check “Not Applicable” is mentioned so any idea what does it mean?

My parents' case is in security screening. The background check is "Not Applicable" since Oct 2023. I do not think it means anything.

not applicable means that IRCC haven't started that stage. So it's not yet applicable.

But my parents' case is in CBSA and CSIS check since Dec 2023. Why does it mean not yet applicable?

Then I don't know. They do both security and background check and I don't know exactly what get checked on each.

My mom is from India and staying in Canada on supervisa as well. I filled the form on "Passport Seva"- https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/
and submitted through BLS.
