If PPR/ready to land comes while PA/depends are inside Canada, they will get email to confirm that they are physically inside Canada and will go through virtual landing process. (portal 1, portal 2 and eCOPR)
There are many discussions about this process in this section.

Thanks for the explanation.

Hi, I was waiting for the email about the next steps after i saw a date on the Final Decision which was almost 2 weeks ago. But nothing appeared so far. I called IRCC today, the agent told me the case is approved. You only have to wait for an email. But not sure if the PR portal mails come for all the candidates or only for inland candidates. Since my mother moved to canada recently, i am not sure, if her place of residence is updated, though i sent webform to correct the placed of residence. Not sure what is going on. Is this normal, that it takes this long to get an email after the decision is made? The date i see is Sep 6th on the Final Decision in GCKey.

Everything is normal, all you need now is to continue to exercise patience because you’ve done all that is expected of you. Generally, it takes about 2 to 5 weeks to get P1 email after final decision depending on on your processing office. I believe they must have updated your address change since you notified them via webform. You’re almost there! Good luck!

Hey guys,

I filed intent to sponsor my parents in 2020. got the invitation in 2022. Now it's down to the final background check (medical passed, police cert all submitted).

My parents had some divorces, marriages before 2022:

- Parents first had a divorce (house property related) and then remarried within a year.

- Then my father got divorced again and was married to another woman (family friend) in name only for 6 years (to help her family getting a residence paper in the city).

- Finally my father divorced that woman and remarried my mother as I sent in my application a few days before the deadline, which only included my parents. The woman and her child had no intention of going abroad, and my income would not be enough for 5 people (father, mother, me, family friend woman, and her child).

Last week I received my father's interview notice in October. I have applied for GCMS notes, but haven't gotten them yet. As far as I know, interviews are rarely requested for PGP sponsorship in general. I think it's likely because of my father's marital history. The notice said that if he won't attend the interview, the visa will be most likely rejected based on the available information (currently no outstanding missing docs requested, nor does the interview notice ask to bring any doc). All the above marriage history was notarized. In my parents' case, if the application is going to be rejected, what would be the reason?

This has been bothering me a lot, I'd be really grateful if you could share your thoughts on this!

Your father committed fraud to marry someone for the benefit of immigration (paper) and finance. He then remarried your mother for immigration (PGP).

He needs to attend the interview. His application will be rejected if he refuses to attend a required interview.
You may need to consult an immigration lawyer. This sounds too complicated for a free forum.

From your story, your father was involved in a marriage fraud which is anti Canadian values and I am afraid IRCC will not hesitate to reject such application.

Need Help Please !

We received Passport submission request in early July 2024 for my mothers PGP application.

She is US Green card holder and permanent address given is of USA. Now immediately after we received the request to submit passport she was planning to visit me in Canada, so we submitted the passport to CPCO Ottawa PO Box address as mentioned in the request, once she was in Ontario.

Now its over 13 weeks have not received the passport. Agents in call center just have one answer to wait. Some say that since applicant was in Canada when passport was sent, its a virtual landing process, buts still no solution as to when and how can we get passport back, if sent by mistake.

I did fill the urgent passport retrieval email twice but no progress.

I am stuck, mom needs to travel to USA and we or agents have no clue as to when, where and why passport is stuck.

What to do next?

Tried reaching out local MPP but waiting on response.

Any email or contact address or phone number for CPCO Ottawa?

Help needed and thank you.
