Received Pre-Arrival in Aug. Nov 16th - Final Decision in Progress and no updates after that.

Applied my 5th GCMS notes last week and called IRCC almost every week and no updates. I think we are the few selected candidates who end up with a full fledge BGC? typically with my other applications, PPR comes the very next day after the file reaches Final decision stage. Were your parents Govt employees into police or military?

Processing office Mississauga. Last explanation from IRCC call center was that the "Officer is taking a bit more time to finalize the application"

Nope. no history of govt employment for parents. However, I did raise a web for for address change (Got confirmation about address update) as my parents did enter Canada in month of October.

I just called IRCC, and you are right. They are doing background checking that cause the delay.

Now I am worried how long it will take to finish background check and reviewing eligibility because of military services or government services?

Those who has decision made and passport has visa , when parents arrive in Canada , how much long will they wait to get PR card? Is there any other application to apply to get the card or will it will mailed to the home address?

Yes My dad did, 40 years ago just a compulsory military service as an engineer

Myself and two other sponsors are having delay at the Final Decision - In progress stage since Oct. All the applicants have one thing in common they have either police or military experience

My dad and mom are due for their medical examination. My mom's will be upfront but my dad had a heart attack couple of months back and is on medication and all is well so far, thank god. He will be taking his latest reports with him. I'm a bit worried about medical inadmissibility. Any thoughts?

We received PPR on Dec 12th. When requesting appointment online to submit Passport, they are asking to upload separate letter from IRCC for individual member. How to overcome this obstacle?
