Hello, I got invitation to apply for my parents yesterday. My parents are already in Canada since the last 6 months - my mom is on closed work permit and my dad is her dependant. Will there be any issue with them already in Canada working as they are financially independent? Would it be better for them to go back to india and then apply for pr? Please advise.

Anyone figure out how to sign on Q8 and Q16 of IMM5768, if we are consenting IRCC to access our tax information from CRA?

The guide suggest to sing electronically as below:

type your social insurance number (SIN) and electronically sign and date the statement to give IRCC consent to collect your SIN to ask for your income tax information from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the 3 years immediately before the date of the application. Your tax information will be used to determine if you meet the income requirements) to sponsor a parent or grandparent.

But we cannot type anything in the signature area in these questions.

No issue. They can remain in Canada.

Another question, I am salaried for years, annual income should use t4 or Noa amount? 2019 sold a property, Noa # was doubled.

This is my first post here after a looong time.
I got the invitation to apply at 11 am on Oct 12th from CIC Mississauga, Confirmation # is CPCM / CTDM AFXXXX-20. Applied on Oct 13th, 2020.

In my case, number in Section 2 and 7 pop-up automatically. And I was able to fill the needed info, except Q8 and Q16, we are not able to sign electronically, i.e., type the names of sponsor and co-signer, respectively.

NOA although there are some taxable income that doesn’t count and must be deducted. Examples are in the instructions and there are some temporary changes due to Covid. Did you sell the home before becoming a PR? Assume that was an investment property.

I easily meet the lico for 3 but not 4 persons for year 2019.

You applied in 2020 knowing you didn’t meet the LICO for 2019 so should have never applied for both mothers. A few years have passed but both mothers should never have been on the list.

nope, they do not send on weekends

They do actually. Not sure about this time but applications are often scheduled to be sent out on the weekend.

They barely work on working days, weekend! forget it,

They send out invitations for lots of things on the weekend. They just schedule the emails to go out during non-business hours.

No just for my parents, my husband parents are already citizens here.

Unfortunately you were the one who was required to apply to sponsor your parents. Your husband does not qualify to sponsor your parents.
