same here, applied in NOV 2021, did medical Twice, Local MP was not helpful/Useful at all, spoke with IRCC, they were so rude and just kept saying its in process (for ever i guess)

I got an email that says "Your application status has changes."
I logged in to gc key, the status said "Application/profile updated", clicked on it and there was nothing new. Now status has gone back to "Submitted".

I am Nov 2021 applicant, last communication from IRCC was Dec. 9/2024, Montreal office. They asked for Medical, PCC, RPRF and Updated Address. Everything was submitted Dec 23.

Hopefully, that's a good sign! Maybe they are clearing 2021 applicants. It's been over 3 years now!

I hope so, our file has been stuck in security screening for over 1.5 years.
Our second medical will expire in 7 days, and I'm really hoping that this ghost update isn't just another medical request.

My MP contacted IRCC, January 15 and said that the application is approved and passport request will be issued.

Congratulations!
I think you will receive passport request/portal within two weeks depending your parents in home country or Canada.
I saw some cases' medical were extended to one more year, which means their parents do not need to redo medial.
