@Roya-FSW BTW, while all this time communication with us was done via me (Sponsor), this passport request went directly to my mom. Even though email says "Please note that this message is sent to all active email addresses (including sponsors) on file," I did not receive anything. So, make sure you check all emails (including junk folders) that you submitted during application.

Did you get DM2 and PPR on the same day?

my parents got invitation for CoPR. In the letter they ask if applicant or dependents are currebtly not residing in their country. If yes, inform within 5 days via webform.

My father was in India so he sent his passport, it got stamped and came back.

My mother is in canada, as instructed we submitted a webforn informing IRCC of my mothers current residence is in Canada and not india and she can't submit passport with my father. Ideally, she could do virtual landing while being in canada.

we have not received any communication yet and they are always busy to take calls at customer service number. Its dead silence from IRCC...

Any one in the same boat???

I am really worried as my mother may have just missed her chance.

I think you will get a response soon and they will do the virtual landing for her.

Looks like our journey is coming to an end , started in 2016, year after year of failing to win the "lottery", we finally got our foot in the door in 2019, almost 2 years of no updates due to covid, we started to get almost weekly communications in Sept 2021, after only two months, our parents are now proud Canada's PR!

Hi , On the interest to sponsor form I mentioned my parents ( both of them)Can I now apply to sponsor only for one of them?(I will make sufficient income to meet the LICO requirements to sponsor both parents.)

Hi,
My parents received the letter from CPC to submit passport for issuance of COPR and visa within 30 days on November 10, 2021. My parents are travelling to US on November 24th, 2021. So we were thinking it is better to submit passport in US to VFS Global. Can anyone suggest if it is ok to submit passport in US or is it necessary to submit passport in India only?

Also, once they come to US, they can travel to Canada. The letter says virtual landing is also possible. So is better to do virtual landing or submit passport in US? Please suggest. Thanks

Has anyone who has got a PCC from BLS in Ottawa / Canada comment on the timeline? My dad is here on a visitor visa and plans for stay for another 2 and a half months. NDVO has asked for PCC and given a little more than a month deadline. The application for PCC asks to send original passport and that worries me in case it takes longer than his scheduled flight back. Any recent experience with the time taken for PCC from Canada would be highly appreciated.

did you parents ever do bio for a cdn visa? if so, maybe they accepted the results on file

1. If you have linked the application to the online ircc portal then you can upload a scanned copy to cic account, Or send using email to the address provided, Using web form is another option but I don't recommend it since it does not provide any proof after you send the document. If you are sending by regular mail or courier then send the original.
2. It can take a few weeks.

What will happen next?

Request for a passport is the final step before granting a visa. If they have traveled to Canada previously and have provided Biometrics in the last 10 years IRCC may not ask.

Hi

I got pre-arrival services letter today and ecas changed to decision made today also.
Initial visa office was CPC-M.
File was transferred to NDVO in Oct 2021.
Parents are in Canda.
Will NDVO be sending instructions for virtual landing automatically as parents mail and home address both are of Canada (They are in Canada sin Dec 2019 and I updated it through webform) or they will send PPR first and then I’ll have to request for VL?
How long after decision made can we expect to hear from NDVO?
