Hi everyone,

Need your help. My father is living here in Canada on supervisa.

We received a letter from NewYork Office to send passport for PPR for visa stamping in 30 days.

However, we received another email letter from Etobicoke Landing office saying that as you are already in Canada you application is complete and you are now a permanent resident of Canada. You can use this letter as proof of permanent residence and apply for government services. Send this letter copy and photo to get your PR card.

Does anyone else has experience with virtual landings and do I still need to send his passport to Ottawa office?

Guys need urgent help please.
I am filling IMM 5562 (11-2019) form
I received a request letter asking for this form to be filled by parents.
The form ask for travels for you, spouse or dependent childrens, since only my dad and mom is the case I guess I have to put N/A for the dependents.
My question is in thr request letter they asked my mom to provide IMM 5562 (11-2019) form and they also asked my dad to provide IMM 5562 (11-2019)
How shall I proceed, is it one form or I have to do it twice??

here below an official reply from LDN office about the same subject:

Thank you for your email. I can see from the request letter and the online screenshot you have provided that the Supplementary Information – Your Travels form (IMM5562) has been requested for both the Primary Applicant (DAD) and Dependent (MOM). Please complete and submit one for both parties named.
Once completed, please upload these under the corresponding sections of the online application portal.

I've already booked the appointments for my parents to do their Biometric in the VAC in Beijing. And on the appointment letters, it stated that a Consent Form needs to be signed and taken with them. I'm wondering where I can get this Consent Form. Does anyone know? Thank you.

I applied on May 24, and file was transferred to Mexico in December. This is the first update since then.

Pls update I got a ghost update. But when I check Mycic does not show anything just update. When I checked service3.gc.ca it says decision made for both Sponsorship and Pr. Getting closer to final step I guess.

A few minutes later I got pre-Arrival letter

Got GCMS. It says
"Satisfied with relationship. Pls send passport request and photo" on August 24,2020 same day as DM2. Not ppr yet.

Just got my GCMS notes, it says case pending receipt of SSC-BC
My application rec date is may13th 2019
I believe SSC-B.C. is social assistance check please correct me if I’m wrong
Please advise what should I do.
Is there anybody from BC who had the same situation?

I would like to ask your advice friends on my situation. I am sponsoring my parents and they already passed their medical last January and after that I haven't heard back anything. Anyway my mom who is the principal applicant on the application died. I would still like to have my dad to go here since he is now alone. He is the dependent on my mom's application. I've sent my mom death certificate via the webform but I never got a response on what to do regarding my dad and also if I could get some refund. Would you be able to give me some advice or directions on what to do? Thank you very much!

Sorry for your loss brother/sister! Stay strong . Sending prayers your way. Get your area MP to intervene to get IRCC answer your query/questions.

My deepest condolences, dear! Unfortunately, similar situation happened to someone else on this forum and I remember that sponsor had to send death certificate with asking immigration officer to appoint the dependent to be principal applicant. Stay strong

You have to wait. May 10-15 applicants are the most miserable ones....super slow progress on our applications

A couple of us waited a long time for the SSC clearance, but not as long as you.

Someone eventually called up their MP to follow up and suddenly the SSC was cleared, however that's before the stupid COVID.

Right now we really don't have any idea how long it would take.
