Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

@skFSW are your parents in Canada right now? MY parents were in Canada at the time of submission of the application but their file has been transferred to NDVO for further processing. Nothing more has been requested at this time, whereas, CPC-Mississauga (your LVO) is requesting everything in the SA letter. Maybe different VO's follow different procedures.

@mohitmalhotr44 My in laws are not here in Canada. They gave the reason for this because in our application Representative address(not Sponsor address) is in canada. In our case my wife is Sponsor and I am the representative

Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative will be processed at CPC-Mississauga. This office was selected based on
your relative’s home address and the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

It took two weeks for me since medical exam till the status change in mycic.

Everyone's relatives' home address is in Canada, but that's not how they selected CPC M. There are some theories, but there are not enough data to validate this

Do you mind sharing the screen shot or content of the email. As I am also expecting the same for my mom as she is currently here with me in Canada. And scheduled to go back to India Nov-16-2019. Hence, I am hoping that they mention either of both ways to submit the passport in PPR.

what is your Local Visa office?

Oh sorry i forgot to mention. Its mississauga. Also, i submitted requested forms such as pcc, country specfc, resume, passport copy via mail. Too many pages to scan because of passport thats why i decided to just mail it. Thanks

@cheemais . Is there any change to your ecas or myCIC at all when you received PPR ?

June 25th received application ...no updates as of yet..no AOR...nothing...called the call center today and they gave me a temp # ….they also said its in staging state meaning no VO has been assigned to my file yet.

I am from Ontario and applied for my father only

In my case it says we are processing application of PA from 22nd October and still no DM.

May I ask when you link your application, did you type in your own information (the sponsor) or the Principle Applicant's (one of your parents)? E.g. name, date of birth, place of birth, etc.

I thought I would share my story with the board.
Today, i was lucky enough to talk to a very kind agent. He said that the officer sent verification letter to Alberta government and the have received the confirmation on August 1, 2019. For sponsorship eligibility, there is no other information they need to make the decision. I should receive something near future. for my second application they have sent the verification letter to Alberta government today. according to the agent it will take maximum a month to hear back from the provincial government.

What was your in process date for the first application that they requested letter from AB govt?
And what is your in process for your second application?
I am from AB too and stuck in process.
