If you were a Canadian, for married abroad and then sponsored your wife under family sponsorship - then you would be counting your wife under #3. In other cases, like - (a) you and your wife to Canada together (i.e.: married already before becoming 1st Gen Canadian); or (b) met and married in Canada; then you don't have a sponsorship undertaking for your wife, thus won't count in #3.
Hence, put "1" in #5, irrespective of spouse co-signing or not. Hope this explains
I think - if you have your dad on the sponsorship package along with your mom for sponsorship (i.e,: you are submitting the generic form imm0008) - even if they are no coming initially, you still pay the fees,
Hi Guys, I have one question on Family Unit. I am currently sponsoring my Spouse to come to canada and application is in progress. Also now, I am parallelly sponsoring my mother and father under PGP. But my wife is still in India waiting on her application. So when I will fill my financial evaluation form there in the employment history, they are asking for family size. What should I write there in family size? I got married last year for example?
Thats a correct assumption. I contacted Canada Post, they say since CPC is large volume receiver, updates are not frequent but with last scans he confirmed that consider that item is delivered.
Just Saying I wrote 2 for me and my wife, but you can go ahead and state what the agent told you, I interpreted this as family size in Canada at that point of time, since my parents were in India
Quick wuestion: Should we put bar code page (generated with 1344 - application to sponsor) before the checklist i.e invite letter, bar code page, check list, form 1344 and so on .
OR
after the check list on top of the actual form 1344- application to sponsor?
Sponsorship fee ($75), principal applicant processing fee ($475) and right of permanent residence fee ($490 = 1,040
plus $85 if your parent is not exempt for biometric.
If I pay biometric fee here, does it mean my mother can do biometric in India? does she have to pay fee in India too (VFS global)?
I initially hired an immigration agency to submit the interest form to sponsor and luckily I got selected. They sent me the email copy from IRCC asking to submit the application. Now I am contemplating if I should hire them again or can I just do it my self? Will there be any problems since they were the ones who filled up the form when they sent the interest form to sponsor?
I paid the application fee. I dont see any reference to my name, sponsor, on the receipt. I wonder how they know it's for my application, just the barcode?
I am sponsoring my grandfather, but
1) My father doesn't have his birth certificate
2) My birth certificate has my date of birth and my father's name, but doesn't have my name (was't decided at the time)
Now to prove relationship, I want to provide a affidavit. Should I provide 2 affidavits.. one for myself and one for father, or same affidavit that includes all 3 of us? thanks
