Hi All, a very basic question. If I have to apply to my Father and Mother do I file 2 separate applications or make Dad as principal applicant and Mom as his Spouse

One application only. One principle applicant and other dependent.

Get an affidavit made, write an explanation letter why certificate is not available, and also attach some other documents showing them as spouses.

Hello everyone..I am in desperate need of help and hoping that someone here can share their experiance with me. my PGP application for my parents and siblings have been in process from the last 8 years.....yes that long. they recently passed security...eligibility and medical.as soon as the security was passed the file status went from in process to on hold in gcms notes that I ordered. now the file status is on hold from the last 6 months...and no news or update. one family member's meds expired a couple months back but no request for new meds recieved. I am really freaking out.....does any one know what does a "on hold" status on a file mean?? would really appreciate if anyone can help me...thanks so much!!

Thanks Guys, should I get an affidavit or fill the Statutory declaration of common-law Union(IMM 5409) form ?

Person called CIC and got his / Her AOR# as per comment.

Probably, he or she was told the temporary application # over the phone.

AOR is sent by email or mail after a CO has opened and ensured an application is complete.

Like why would you send such imp documents in regular mail.

Don,t know how the individual have sent the documents...

May be you are right that he has sent by regular mail...
I have seen on this forum that some people are having casual approach while dealing with these documents...
May be they are not in urgency... and have got the opportunity to apply...

my application was received on May 3rd 2019 but I still cannot link my application in CIC MyAccount yet....can anyone you help with which information to enter when linking the application? do I enter my information as the sponsor or my mom's information?

specifically, what information should I enter under "Application details" section? "applicant's personal information"? and "Other Application Information" section?

Anyone whose applications received on May 3rd still cannot link the application yet?

May 7/8 going on this wk...give it another wk and call CIC.

It seems like a huge number of applications received between 1 May and 7 May!!! Processing significantly slow down after 1 May
