I am asking my question again. My common law and I are going to apply for my parents. for NOA 2015 and 2016 we file our tax as single and for 2017 we have not done it yet. we are going to file it as common law though! so, is it going to be an issue?
Hello Rob, if I only worked partial year in the first of the three years since I was doing school, and my income was higher than minimum requirement if proportioned to the whole year, can I apply? Can you please give me a reference? Thanks!

Only thing that matters is as of the date of your parents PR app, you are common-law. Your tax marital status in previous tax years is completely irrelevant.

Hi Rob, thanks so much for your reply. I am asking because in the first page, you mentioned "Does your 2015 income meet the minimum income amount? This would depend if you were working for a full year or partial year."
My situation is that I finished school in June of 2015 and started working in June. My income of that year does not meet the requirement. However, if I can proportion my income from partial year to a whole year, I am beyond the minimum (e.g. monthly salary). Is it possible to do that?

@Rob_TO , @canuck_in_uk , and other senior members, When the Interst to Spobsor form asks for parents information, can we just put principle applicant's information, or we must put the information of the PA and PA's spouse?
If PA is only listed on the Interest to Sponsor form, can PA's spouse later be added to the PR application?

No it's not possible. You must have the full LICO amount on your 2015 tax return or your app will be rejected.
You will need to wait until 2019 to apply with 2016/2017/2018 income.
Lol, you need to answer that question. Select one of the two options: "My own pare..." OR "My spouse or ....". It will prop another question about whether you have read the requirements, answer that and it will show a button to the form.
