got PPr on monday from ottawa to submit passports at ottawa office. but parents are in india, i asked ottawa office to send me instructions to submit passports at New Delhi visa office, any body knows how long it will take to receive instructions from ottawa office. do i need to wait for instructions or try to submit passports at VFS ofice in india with same ppr letter that i received from ottawa. any body can help?
I think CPC Ottawa would send the instructions quickly, so wait for a bit, at least a week. Technically, there shouldn't be any problem in submitting Passports to NDVO using VFS but just for the sake of less confusion, better to wait for the revised PPR.
Because, at VFS office, the passports are to be submitted with print of PPR request letter. There is a slight possibility that VFS folks may hesitate or get confused after reading the letter to submit passport to Ottawa.
Does anyone know how long generally it takes for the sponsorship process from beginning to end? I submitted my sponsorship application in November 2017, was approved in March 2018, received medical and PCC request in April 2018. After the medical, CIC requested a further medical assessment for my mother. The next medical exam appointment is booked for this month. Can anyone outline what will be next steps and timelines will potentially be? Thanks!
In your case, its mostly now depending on Medical clearance time. Which is uncertain. Can be fast or slow.
But in general, to get PR visas, its approximately 3-4 months after receiving medical request, if your application is with CPC Ottawa. Other visa offices have different processing times.
It means CIC will ask more document. If it shows: reviewing additional document, then it's ok. Mine has been like this even we have already landed. When it shows N/A like some of my friends did, they all were requested something again.
My parents got their Passport request today and it says I have 30 days to submit them. The issue is that they are gone to Australia to visit my brother and are planning to be there for about 6 months.
Should I email cic and ask them if they cant get their visas stamped in Australia or do they have to go back to India and submit them?
OR
Can they send me their passports here in Canada and i can get them stamped for them?
LVO is Ottawa and before Australia, they were in Canada on a super visa.
Ask your parents to fly back to Canada. Otherwise the process is long and costly and lots of headaches. Two plane tickets can solve everything. Good luck!

My parents are in canada on a super visa now. I know i can do medicals and pcc here is canada. For medicals it is e-medical where doctor will upload the report.
But where to sent the pcc? Is there a way to upload then online? I have the file linked to my account, but there are no options to upload documents. Is there a way to upload documents online?
