Looking to create a more specific timeline sharing thread for the Accra Visa Office Processing of the parent grand parent Sponsorship application.

• Application Delivered Ottawa 10-May-2019
• Additional Doc - IMM5406 - Requested and Submited via email - 18-Jul-2019
• Ecas Activated - Application Received for S & PA - 28-Aug-2019
• Death Cert Request - Via ECAS - never received an email - 30-Aug-2019
• Death Cert Submitted - 03-Sep-2019
• AOR Received - 04-Sep-2019
• ECAS Sponsor - Decision Made - 06-Sep-2019
• Sponsorship Approval - Letter received via Email - App forwarded to Accra - 16-Sep-2019

FYI - Parent is in Canada, Address on Application is Canadian but somehow application still ended up in Accra LVO.

How many people are you sponsoring? This process is taking too long.. I dont understand why we do not have our applications processed in our different countries of origin. It is just annoying to see people from china and other parts of the world get their PR request and all... They should have just kept my file in Misissauga or just request the medicals already.

Sponsoring my mum only! - Its a lot slower for Accra compared to Mississauga.

I know this is getting very frustrating.

My mum did her biometrics on Oct 7th, and still showing in her online profile that they have not received her fingerprint. What's really going on with Accra office. I think if we can all send the immigration minister a message via twitter or which ever means like the Asians do then we might get noticed.

Hello everyone, I'm from 2018, with some knowledge of 2017 PGP apps. Not to discourage anyone, but the general trend for Accra is to send medical request, police certificate request and passport request together at about the one year mark of receiving the application from Canada.
The official processing time for PGP is 2 years so, some patience is required. But who knows, 2019 could be different

It was one year from when Accra received the application

I learnt that since Nov 2. PR applicants from Nigeria are no longer asked to send passports to Accra, Ghana and that stamping of Visa is now done at the Lagos Embassy.

Has anyone submitted there passport(s) to the Lagos Embassy through VFS and gotten it back since the commencement of this? If yes, kindly let us know how long the whole process took
