Hello Members,
I need an expert piece of advice. I got my PR in OCT 2024 and I am Jan 2023 applicant. After a week of my PR, my family overseas got medical request that was done right away and updated on CAS Website.Their eligibility, biometrics, medical and pre arrival have already been passed. Our application is in Pilot Program but my family have not got PPR yet even after more than 3 months gone by. I contacted IRCC through local MP and was informed that my family overseas were ready to land in Dec of 2024 but I don't know why PPR is not issued yet.
I called helpline and was informed processing time is 48 months. I raised couple of web forms but no useful information.
Please help to advise what can be done as it has become so frustrating.

There is nothing you can do right now. Your overseas family may get the PPR request by tomorrow or anyday after tomorrow - there is no legal time frame for that.
But one thing is for sure, that there will be no refusal in future as they got the Pre arrival letter already.
So all you have to do is only wait and get other things done ( whole some preparation for new establishment in Canda)

  4. We sent you medical instructions on January 9, 2024. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  5. Medical results have been recieved.
When I should expect PPR, based on you experience?
Did you get PPR?

Yes, I was above 22 when my father applied for refugee and PR applications.
Hi,
Recently I consulted immigration lawyer regarding situation like us.
If you’re under 22 when your father made refugee claim but turned over 22 you should be fine.
But as you said you were above 22 when your father made the claim so you need to have mental or physical disability to comply.
Hope that helps

Not actually true but most do get COPR if they have made it to P1 or P2.

They landed too many people in 2024 so are now slowly issuing COPR for those who had P1 in 20204

IRCC hit their quotas in 2024 or overshot them so they had to pause landing and is slowly landing people who got P1 or P2 in 2024 in 2025. Many got P2 a few months before you and are waiting.
