My overseas spouse got his passport request today. After 3 years and half , I can’t believe this is happening. I hope all of you get good news and reunite with your loved ones.

I became became a Permanent Residence on February 26,2023.

My Overseas Spouse:

- Received Application on August 04 , 2021.
-Application Started February 21 , 2022.
-FBI Clearance September 8 , 2022.
-Requested forms March 1 , 2023
-Sent Forms March 04 , 2023.
-Requested FBI Clearance again and Police Certificates for all the countries lived since 18 years old March 06 , 2023.
- Requested Medicals and Biometrics March 07,2023
- Sent police certificates at the end of March.
- Biometrics and Medicals done on April 03, 2023.
- Passport Request May 23 ,2023

We are preparing everything to sent the passport.

Now I have a question:

Is it applicable for In-Canada Refugee PR applicants also? or it is just for those protected persons who have entered with PR status?

Let me say more specific: If an In-Canada protected person who has applied for their overseas family at the time that they has sent their own PR application, is it possible for their overseas spouse and dependents to apply for TRV according to this new announcement while their PR application is in proccess?

Absolutely. If the main applicant who is in Canada is already a PR, then there is a 98% chance of Visa approval if he or she invites his dependents outside Canada. They will also get a work permit when they arrive in Canada while they wait out their outland application in Canada. Its time for everyone to throw in the visitor visa application for spouses and children.

What did you select when submitting requested form On February , 2021? Refugee/ in-Canada? Refugee/Out of Canada? Sponsorship?
Did you list your children with PR status in generic form ?

Currently My status is not PR yet. But I think it is a good Idea to share the outcome for those who have PR and apply for this ray of hope!

Who are the people under the Family Class Permanent Residence Application? I don’t seem to understand anymore. I have PR already and would want my husband who is outside Canada to join me. Are you saying I cannot use this new process to achieve that?
