I wonder if we would be able to ask questions related to PR applications when it's about studying in Canada.
I'm already a student studying in Canada..
**Also..
How many of you guys or your spouses are in BC?
I'm thinking if there is enough of us, we could go to our MP as a group and question what this issue could be when other after us are being transferred.
I didn't realize that the AMA was about international studies only, though it's a little helpful to see that there are delays for study permits as well. I saw this article yesterday: http://paceimmigrationlaw.com/canadian-immigration-delays/.

I'm in victoria. I looked at the list of MPs for BC. Do we need to go to the MP if we're in their district? or does any MP work? Also hoping there are more than just you and I in BC.
would anyone else be interested in contacting the MPs as a group?
I feel like I we we're able to concisely interpret that we feel we're in the dark and this is what's happening.. They would at least look into it and worst case scenario they say no..
or is this jumping the gun too much?
March 15- application
March 22- SA
March 30- shedule a form request
March 31- schedule a form sent
April 12- medical request
April 26- medical passed
July 6- shedule a form and pcc sent thru post mail.
I called CIC again today, was told the application is being worked on in Mississauga, also that background check will be done is Mississauga and only the last steps (visa issuance) will be done at the local VO. Not sure how much of this is correct, doesn't seem like much is since the application still says "Application Received".

unfortunately you can't call from outside Canada. You'll have to find an App of some sort that allows you to call Canadian numbers with a 'Canadian number'
I am a March 31 applicant and had initially a straight-forward course. We never had a Schedule A request, so I emailed a copy and mailed a hard copy. In the first week of June, I had messages through CIC asking to clarify a residence in 2007 and add a secondary school address. I have not heard anything since. I called last week and was able to confirm that the documents are attached to our file and nothing additional is needed- just to be patient and wait. The CIC currently says a medical check "is not needed but will send a request if that changes". My ECAS only has 1 line to say the application was received. Nothing processed yet
We have since relocated to BC, so I could start work and my husband and son are "tourists". This is awful! I have no idea what is going on with our application. I do wonder if we will stay in Mississauga though because my husband and son have different nationalities (UK and US/NZ) and we applied while on PR visa in New Zealand- no idea what VO would be common ground for them.
They won't transfer you.
I tried to call that number and the first time I lied and said I was calling from within canada, she transferred me and it just dropped. called back again and the person on the line told me that outside calls can't get through even when transferred unless it's a number from inside Canada.
