Hi,
Every Wednesday at 3pm, Indian consulate in Toronto has walk in service for passport renewal and some other services, I am not sure if they would help you with your situation but I have seen many people there with different issues and they do help if you describe your situation properly. All though you can check BLS website too and they do have some information regarding requirements of passport renewal if you do not have legal status and your PR file is ongoing. I think you might you have to attach or show some documents which shows that you have applied for the PR and you can attach that AIP letter too. Don’t go to any BLS office directly, they will not help you with anything, they are pretty rude and useless. First go to Indian consulate if you are living in Toronto and get more information then apply for your passport renewal. Hope this information helps.

Hi
Thanks for replying me back. Yes m in Toronto.
I submitted my application online with all my documents (AOr, AIP, sponsor’s eligibility letter) through BLS with the help of someone from indian passport services.
It’s been a week and when I track it says its in process under toronto consulate.
Do you think I still can walk in on Wednesdays just to check in my passport renewal file ?
