Hi everyone,
I am sponsoring my Husband to Canada. Does he need to give his original birth certificate and our original marriage certificate ?
The document checklist does no indicate "original" or "copy". So just wondering what we should do.
Thanks for your help in advance
You are applying outland through the US? Your region specific guide says to send photocopies unless otherwise specified. First paragraph above the checklist. Here's the link. Good luck.

Thanks sooooo much. How did I miss that ! So, even if my husband is not a citizen of USA, since we are applying from the USA we need to see document check list from region "United States" . Am I right ?
Yup, you use the forms for the embassy where you are applying. Your husband has been legally admitted to the US for at least a year, right? That's a requirement to apply through another embassy other than his country of citizenshp. If so, you are good to go.
