Options for a Creative Professional (UX/UI) in IT/Media Industry for Calgary

I'm a Creative Professional from Mumbai, India. I'm willing to move to Calgary for good. Wondering what are my chances with 13+ years of experience in the IT & Media Industry. I specialize in UX/UI Design (Web, Mobile & Tablets). Check out jaiwadhwani [dot] com

How do I go about it? Is it advisable to apply for PR or get a Job first? or Is it ok to get a job anywhere in Canada maybe Toronto / Vancouver and may be later move to Calgary.

Two of my close friends moved to Calgary with their families, both are on PR today. Reason why I would want to move to Calgary
