I have a question about Option C. I cannot produce Option C as I did not live in canada after getting my PR or before that. I will be working from Canada from july for atleast 2 years. What do you think I can write in my letter?
"I did not file for Income tax returns for the year 2009-10 as I was living in India working for xxx company and did not live/work in Canada during that time. Please find attached the pay stubs for the last 12 months from my employer in India" --> would this suffice? Please provide your input on how I can draft it..
Also canadianwomen, as I m representing my company in India to work in Canada, I have only a 2 year contract which may extend at a later date. Would this be ok for sponsoring my wife? I have permanent/regular contract with my company in India..
If you don't have an Option C, you can give them an explanation instead. What you wrote sounds fine. Include the pay stubs.
A 2-year contract is fine for sponsoring your wife. But CIC wants to give PR visas only to people who want to immigrate to Canada. That is, at the interview and in the application the visa officer must believe that you want to stay in Canada permanently. So don't say you are only going to stay for 2 years, and will then go back to India. You don't actually know what will happen anyway - you and your wife may love living in Canada and want to stay, so you will look for another job after the 2 years is up; or the contract may be extended. Just don't say your wife just wants to come to Canada for the two years of your contract. It's best not to mention it at all - you got a PR visa, after all, so your wife should have no trouble. If the visa officer asks at her interview, or asks you, just say you will be working at this job for two years and you hope the contract will be extended. If not, you will look for another job.
Thanks a lot canadian women.. definitely I dont like to mention about the 2 year contract term. Me and my wife would love tos tay in Canada for some years at the least. I was just worried if that would be a criteria for deciding for my wife's application.. I hope it is not!
You'll have to include the contract to show you have a job, but don't dwell on the '2-year' part of it.
If at the interview, your wife says you and she would love to stay in Canada, that will probably be good enough. If the visa officer asks about the contract, she can say if it is not extended you will look for another job.
I don't think there will be any problems with it.
