• If your status expired more than 90 days ago, select any date that is within the past 90 days. (This is a temporary workaround to allow you to apply past the 90-day deadline.)

You can follow the instructions given and add any date in past 90days which allows you to restore the status..

IRCC told me to still apply for restoration and explain the situation in a letter. If the other application gets approved before the work permit, they will refund the restoration fee I was told.

Applied : Jan. 29 under implied status (VR)
Eligibility checking started : Feb. 19
Approved : Feb. 19
VR is also approved with WP

I had applied work permit under LMIA approved and now Applying the OWP also. Is it ok if I cancel my closed work permit and wait for the decision on my owp

IRCC told me to still apply for restoration and explain the situation in a letter. If the other application gets approved before the work permit, they will refund the restoration fee I was told.

FYI, I was on implied status but I didn't apply restoration and I explained why I did not in the letter. (Very detail and I also attached the expired pgwp and the confirmation letter for VR Application)

I got the approvals today both VR and WP. I'm not recommending my way though. I worried about this so much until today. Good luck.

What's the validity of VR issued? Is it till the wp expiry
