Hi - I am wondering what my options are for deferring my online citizenship test, when I receive the e-mail invite. I am currently out of Canada, and due to some personal circumstances I cannot fly back for the next few months. Thanks.

Thanks very much for your reply. My application is "In Process," and although I haven't received my test invite yet, I am just trying my best to see if I will have the option/possibility to defer. Trying to plan ahead as best as I can.

You should notify them now itself with your planned dates. This is what they suggested me when I told I plan to travel.

I am new this Forum, Have applied for Citizenship in August 2019
App Received: August 26, 2019
AOR Received : Nov 18, 2019
In Process: Dec 4th 2019
Finger print request : December 31, 2019
Submitted : January 7th, 2020
Since than application in process

I contacted CIC through Web form and received reply that my application in process at Mississauga office. Any one the forum received the test email of this period.

im June 2019 applicant, I submitted my biometrics since oct 2019 and no responds since then; I’m from Mississauga.

I am really surprised they have not asked FP again. When I checked I was told FP expires in 1year. May be when someone again picks it up they will send.
