I'm the sponsor and wife is the principal applicant. I get emails from IRCC and I respond to them via webform. But every time I raise a webform IRCC keeps saying that I'm not mentioned
as a representative in the principal applicant's file. Do I need the applicant (my wife) to provide use of representative form so that I can get information about our own application?
I thought use of representative form is only needed for third parties who are neither the sponsor or principal applicant.
Permanent Residence
1. We received your application for permanent residence on February 21, 2022.
2. We started processing your application on May 26, 2022.
3. We sent you a letter on May 30, 2022. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
4. Medical results have been received.
5. We sent you correspondence on June 9, 2022. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
They requested to for Right of Permanent Residence Fee in the letter.

Under privacy laws, the sponsor only has access to the sponsor's information, and vice versa for the PA.
Sometimes IRCC also wants the sponsor to be a representative for purposes of submitting information on behalf of the applicant, too.
So yes, while the sponsor is NOT required to be the representative of the principal applicant, it is convenient to arrange that way, particularly if the sponsor is going to be the one carrying out the bulk of correspondence, etc. (I did this way with my spouse and quite simple that way)
Hi! once I receive my passport back, is there something else I should do before traveling? is there another information/correspondence I must wait for? (Just to know in advantage)

We exactly don't know what is happening at NDVO. It's damn slow for October applicants.
I'm oct 7th applicant, my eligibility is in progress on new tracker from March 24th. Background check not started. We can only hope July brings some positive news for all of us.
