If I received AOR saying they received my application and will contact me if any further info required, does that mean they took an initial review on my application and everything they need for now has been provided by me?

Average varies from 62 to 114 days!

AOR means the documents you sent are in order (all fields completed, fees paid, photo is ok, etc).
Now, they will begin verifying the information you sent in the application and get back to you if any questions.

My friend applied in July 2021 and got her AOR in September 2021. Yesterday she found out she has been promoted @ work from 'Junior' to 'Senior' lawyer. She is working at the same law firm as stated on her application. Does she have to provide an update to IRCC?

Hi ECAS stands for Electronic Client Application System used for tracking the status of an application once filed with IRCC.
