ATIP and GCMS notes are the same?

Order my GCMS notes 2 times and haven't received anything yet.

Looks like they have completely stopped processing GCMS notes requests. I requested in November, no response yet.

Try from cbsa (but only if you really need it.. otherwise they too will get backlogged).

8.5 months. Applied Sep 24 2021, background/test June 2 2022. Hoping for an update soon.

How long does background check take for citizenship?


Most security checks are done within 1 month though it can take longer, up to 1 to 2 years, if its in enhanced screening. If it has been more than 2 months since Eligibility Review was “Passed” and security has not yet concluded, then the application may be in enhanced screening.Jul 11, 2020

Yes, I presume I am in enhanced screening. Others have been seeing an update in approx 9 months so am hoping for an update soon.

Does the regular CBSA notes show if my application is going through security screening or regular security check ? My CSBA notes shows that Security: in progress.
My eligibility passed 3 months ago.
Do I need to order specific CBSA notes to see what's going on with my security?

There’s only one report but from my experience, they don’t always include security screening details unless specifically requested, and you can’t usually see all the details as they would be redacted. Was your atip request partly withheld? Can you see a section with security screening “sub activities” with a status like waiting on csis? If you don’t, email the the address stated in the cover letter, asking for “security screening activities”.
