Hello guys.........my application was received by IRCC on October 2020 and lastly I got invitation for pre-arrival services on October 02, 2021. Just recently the background check in my GCKEY has changed from "We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information" to "your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check". What does this change signifies ? Any reply would be highly appreciated.............Thanks............

Might be a better question for the inland crowd, but has anyone that's submitted through the online portal received their PR Card? It's been almost a month since I submitted my passport and photo and my photo is still under review

Our photos showed "Under Review" for a bit, but did wrap up within a month. Here's a link to our detailed portal timeline.

The gist of it:

2021-09-27: PR Confirmation Portal link email received
2021-10-27: Third (and final) dependent - PR card received.

Ok, guess a month isn't crazy then. I received the eCOPR and portal invite on 10/8, and had my picture and everything uploaded within a day or two. the photo is the only thing still in review, wasn't sure if it meant there was an issue there or they are just lagging

What I found interesting was the fact that the photos were assessed individually, and the approvals -- and subsequent PR card mailings -- trickled in one at a time.

They didn't come through in UCI order, or alphabetical by first name order. I guess a case could be made that it was in order of DOB, without taking the year into account...

But overall, it seemed pretty random.
