Hello folks,

I'm almost finished gathering my documents. I should be able to send them off in a couple of weeks. The only thing not yet ready is the employment letter. I was on a one-year contract as a "research assistant" at my university after I finished my masters. My problem is with the NOC code.

My duties best match NOC 4012, but it has the requirement of being registered at school (which I was not in that year). NOC 2148 (engineering scientist) also has similar duties, but the thing is my title was not "engineering scientist" in that year. It has also some confusing requirements about having PEng, which I don't have.

Between those two, which NOC do you think is better?

Well, i was a trainee for three months. But have been a supervisor since augest 2012.

anyone know what to enter under the section "National Identity Document" of IMM0008 principal applicant document? which country and how do I specify the document or NID type

Where you from like which country? If you have any photo I'd (not passport) of your country than its number issue date and expire date if have it

Either one will do. If you put Sydney, they will probably change it to Ottawa.

Graduated from UBC dec '11 with PGWP with FT Work experience +- 1.5 years now.

The only thing that concern me after I double checked the intstruction is... I didn't put the barcode on the top of the applications (I had it stapled on the IMM0008 forms) dunno if that's a big deal or not.. :s

Where does it say you have to put it on top?

As per document checklist, you're supposed to put the document checklist on top of your
application package.
And you were also advised to NOT bind ( ie. staple ) documents together.
