Brampton does allow
Toronto does not allow

we applied and picked our SC and OCIs from Brampton
BLS was so impressed by my negotiation skills that even dispatched my own OCI through purolator without paying anything for courier . For spouse and minor still had the collect from BLS

Hey Abbas, can we apply SC and OCI both at the same time?? Or do we need to wait to receive SC first and then apply OCI??

when i applied for it in 2020 , BLS were taking it together. both SC and OCI in one go. BLS were handling it internally. now they have separated the process.
First SC and then again for OCI

App date -: 24th Nov
Processed -: 30th Jan
Received in Toronto -: 7th Feb
Stamping and dispatched -: 8th Feb
In hand today at 2 pm
Total days -: 78 days.

Mostly 1-2 days.

Means it’s still with bls for internal validation of documents. Once it’s sent , you will see processing at consulate general and then wait for 20-25 days to see your entry in oci portal
Now you don’t have to do anything . Just waiting period

Bls is just an agency. MEA is the final authority to approve your oci. Just the document scrutiny is over by bls now. That’s all the meaning.

They rarely allow anyone to collect it, dunno where they getting 15-20 ppl

Well, what can I say, I managed to do the impossible. Now, I need to do another impossible task, collect our documents back.

25-30 days to move to processed and more 10 days to get in hand.

Would you recommend OCI submission by post or in-person?
