I have to be in India by 10th to do arrangements and attend my sisters wedding.. my mom is all by herself there and she is panicking right now I am so heartbroken.. But still havent lost hope for Evisas. I pray they act on there statement and open is soon

Book for 9-10 Nov, you will get it by then, no other option except this, i have Oct 4, acknowledge date

Too risky. For Vancouver, with Oct 5 Ack, getting it in hand by Nov 10 looks too tight.

You DO NOT NEED to send originals for OCI application.

Only original needed is sent for passport cancellation, and that too is your Original INDIAN Passport

Hi I understand it’s a general consensus in the forum to not send the originals. However, the checklist for OCI minor applications asks for the original passport and birth certificate. I thought it was better to send in, than wait for them to reject and send back the application, thus losing out on dates. Also, considering the fact I had my initial travel date as Nov 2nd, and we trust the purolator and bls service (based on my passport renewal process), I sent in the originals.
my query is definitely to know what is the process to get it back

The take it when you apply through purolator, if it’s a walk in application then they check it there only

Hello Everyone,

Finally, OCI in my hand(now karlo duniya mutti mai). I was able to Pick it up in-person today 23rd October now Journey to motherland INIDA on 25th October so relieved .

@farooq.ind : I picked up the OCI today and there was not a long Queue by the time I came out(~20 minutes) Queue was cleared.

@eas2lv : I really want to thank you and appreciate for the hard work of keeping track and maintaining tracker very well. You should be in IT as a "Project Manager" if you are not yet, you are very deserving. There are so many things you are doing diligently and effectively appreciate it whole heartedly. This will definitely help everyone checking here and advise people to share their status and process to alleviate anxiety and distress this is not only helpful but also compassionate to fellow Citizens.

I wish everyone all the best those who are waiting get their OCI. Hope everything will be completed sooner than expected.
