Hello, for mail-in OCI applications to Brampton (Toronto jurisdiction), do we need to send any original documents? The checklist mentions multiple originals including Canadian passport, citizenship certificate and Indian passport. Any recent experience would be greatly helpful?

Asusual today went for oci , 9 o clock appointment was done at 11.30 at toronto bls‍. No use of appointment. They ask me to add marriage cert to the oci which I added via phone else 15 dollar for uploading document. To take money many ways.

I’m not sure as I by no means have that much experience with all things BLS or OCI so I’ll let others chime in here. But my guess is that given how an*l BLS is about everything else, this won’t work.

So I have seen some of them saying it worked , but mostly bls security validate and it may back fire if you have time I think in 2 weeks they will open for next 2 months ,may be you can wait

did you have any updates on this? We have similar situations and not sure if we need to submit certified notarized translated birth certificate or just english translated Birth certificate?

Hi Rudra,

I did get a certified translated copy for my daughter just to be on the safer side. With that document my daughters application is in process already. I am not really sure if they accept applications without a translated copy so I just got one in case. Let me know if you need any other info.

It won't be because they have a list of people with appointments.

It may get updated by the end of this week or early next week and hopefully by the end of next week you should have the OCI cards in your hand
